ABOUT
Hello!
My name is Jon Warner and I am a freelance photographer based in the Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio area. I specialize in portrait photography for business professionals and students, as well as special event photography for weddings, dinner parties, and school dances.
I have been in the photo industry professionally for over 35 years, but have had a passion for photography since I was able to save my paper route money and buy my first camera at the age of 13. I received my formal education from Wright State University and the Ohio Institute of Photography and Technology, and later went on to teach photochemical research at Edison State Community College.
Though freelance photography has always been my passion, I also specialize in fine art photography, which can be viewed here. My art has been showcased in the Dayton Art Institute's collection, as well as the Riffe Studio in Columbus, Ohio. In 2000, my work, among nine others, was selected for the 2000 Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio. I am also honored to be an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship recipient.
My second passion is travel; some of my favorite memories are of my time spent photographing scenes of Burgundy, France, many of which you can view in my travel portfolio here.
When I am not traveling or taking photos, you can find me golfing, enjoying a glass of red wine, cooking dinners with family and friends, or going on walks with my dog, Nero.
